Vernice Morris is the owner of Breaking Waves Counseling and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Arizona.

Identifying as a Wounded Healer, Breaking Waves Counseling was created to provide an inclusive space for healing, connection, and growth for all. Known as a compassionate and courageous individual, Vernice is truly unique with a great sense of humor. Ms. Morris is passionate about encouraging and providing therapy to teens, young adults, adults, and couples; specializing in working with LGBTQIA2S+ and BIPOC communities.

Q: How will I know if you're the right therapist for me?

A consultation session will allow both parties to assess the client - therapist dynamic ultimately revealing if this partnership will be a good fit.

Q: What can I expect from each session?

Teamwork through discussions in which I will ask you many thought-provoking questions, allowing your answers to dictate our work together. Ultimately, our goal is to facilitate healing and the manifestation of the future you choose.

Q: How long are the appointments?

Appointments last from 45 - 50 minutes which is standard practice for a typical therapy session. Longer sessions may be available upon request.

Q: How often will we meet?

Standard practice is 1-2 times a week, however my recommendation will depend on an assessment of your needs.

Q: How are sessions offered?

All sessions are conducted online through a telehealth platform similar to Zoom.

Q: How much does therapy and coaching cost?

The average price ranges from $130 - $175 Coaching prices are based on need/length of time. Please contact us for an official quote.

48 Hour notice is requested as Breaking Waves will work hard to accommodate any scheduling conflicts.
